FORTUNE FAVORS THE PREPARED - TRAIN HARD, PLAY GREAT!

Register for 2019 Summer Field Hockey Training!

Information:

CFHC will be hosting a  Summer Training Program in June and July.

The Platinum Summer Summer Training Program offers a great opportunity at a very low cost to train and play 30 hours of field hockey over the summer to get ready for the high school season. We look forward to working with you and your daughters to help them become the players they want to be!

Value

High school coaches trust and value our summer training program because it allows their players to train and get ready for preseason and selection. Many high schools select their varsity teams in the first 3 days of preseason based on tests of skills and fitness.
Our program allows players competing for varsity spots to gauge and test their talent against current varsity players from North East Ohio Schools. High school coaches are also able to see these players and evaluate their ability. The Summer Training Program allows our athletes to start their high school pre-season with two months of training and competitive field hockey behind them! It's great for incoming freshmen because in addition to training and playing against established varsity players, it gets them acclimated to high school coaching style which is very different from middle school. The confidence gained by younger players from playing against older and stronger varsity players cannot be overstated. We see it time and time again where younger players advance more quickly because of their exposure to a higher quality of play. It's also a reminder to varsity players to work harder to keep their spot on the roster. Healthy competition is the best way to build a winning field hockey program! Our programs are designed to help every player improve their skills and become a valuable team member. College players home for summer also often train and play along with other adult CFHC club players, both male and female. This elevates the level of play to a higher standard and allows the high school players to learn and improve their game by playing with and against stronger players. Summer Training is also a great way to meet people and form new field hockey friendships while having fun training and playing competitive hockey.

Coaching

All of our programs are coached by positive people who value and respect each player regardless of their ability. Some of us were once players who struggled so we understand what athletes go through and the types of challenges and questions they have. Sometimes a kind word or a little praise can make the world of difference for a young player. Our coaches include former international players, NCAA D1 players and NCAA coaches.

History

The Summer Training Program was created after observing Ohio high school field hockey for the past 20 years. One of the main goals is to help players develop and improve their skills and confidence by training and playing in an off-season training program in the lead up to preseason and high school selection.

Giving

CFHC is committed to giving back to the Field Hockey community. This year we will again have a limited amount of financial help for athletes in need. High school coaches can make recommendations and give CFHC their input and we make a decision on who is selected.
